I woke the Z06 up from its winter sleep. Nice feeling to bring the monster out on the roads again. I missed it during the long winter.

The Z06 has been put to sleep for the winter. Feels kind of sad but still, this season have been fantastic with trackdays, the tour to Nurburg ring etc. The Z06 is my first Corvette ever and I have been very pleased with this first contact! Thanks GM for giving us this affordable supercar!

Famous Corvette tuner Caravaggio has converted the C6 Z06 to a Targa. Cost for the convertion is $ 11.000 and will take 3 weeks. Extra weight caused by reinforcements is 50--100 lbs according to Caravaggio. See pictures in Gallery.

Took a roadtrip to Halmstad where I met with Mjolle. Nice day for top speed runs that couldn't be mentioned here. Pictures will be posted soon in the gallery.

Corvette Vs Ferrari - New pictures in the gallery from my visit to my friend Anders who is a Ferrari guy.

We had planed to race the F430 against the Z06. But couldn't do it due to heavy traffic. At least I got to drive Anders F430. The car is equipped with the F1 paddle gearshift, very nice! The F430 handles high speeds great! The interiour is great and the engine note is just plain fantastic. Nice day and a fantastic car.

On the road back home an older Aston Martin wanted to race me on the highway. I took the challenge and we raced to 250 km/h. He was fast but always a few car lengths behind me. Suddenly I could see in my mirror that his hood blew off!!! The front of the hood blew open and fell off!!! The Aston had to pull over and I couldn't stop so I don't know what happened to him. Was a good race though.

Me and the Z06 met up at the Trackday Advanced arranged by Motorklubben at Mantorp racingpark. it was raining hard most of the day, which made it all much more thrilling!! The Z06 behaved very well though and in the end I got my racing license. This day I was to busy driving so I had no time to take pictures.

Yet another trip with the Z06. I just can't resist taking it out. This time we went to a road on the countryside outside of Gothenburg. The road is straight for about 3 km. Time for some action and boy does this car deliver!! Changing gear from 1st to 2nd at 7000 Rpm feels like you are fired away by a slingshot. And the roar from the engine is like music to the ears.

The coming week will be a busy one with two visits to racing tracks (Kinnekulle and Mantorp) and a few more events like Elmia (car exhibition show) and Outrun ( kind of a car race). So this coming week it's playtime and no work!! Reports are coming.

This time I'll write in Swedish!

Tog ut Z06:an på en rejäl runda idag. Totalt var vi ute på vägarna i över 5 timmar. Vädret var till att börja med mulet men ingen nederbörd, efter ett par timmars körning började det dock att regna kraftigt vilket gjorde det hela mera spännande. Jag fruktade att regnet och de mäktiga bakhjulen med en bredd om 325 inte skulle komma överens så bra, men faktum var att jag inte kunde märka några egentliga problem utan allt rullade på tryggt och säkert. Visst, man skall nog inte trampa fullt på gasen i regnet. Jag fick erfara detta. I ett utslag av experiment./leklust trampade jag fullt i vätan,,,,,hjulen började spinna för fullt i treans växel och i en hastighet av ca 110 km/h. Som tur var fångade antispinnet upp mig efter bråkdelen av en sekund...men jag imponeras av urkraften i den här bilen!!!

Överhuvudtaget imponerar bilen såväl på motorväg som i stadstrafik. Z06:an är överraskande lättkörd, kopplingspedalen är inte tyngre än på en normal personbil....ingen mjölksyra i bilköerna alltså...på motorvägen är den tryggheten själv.....dock konstaterade jag att den mest bekväma hastigheten på motorväg är att på 6:ans växel dra fram i 160--170 km/h...varvtalet ligger då på strax under 2.000 rpm!! Farligt för körkortet!

Nice weather for the first time since the Z06 arrived! Took it out for a serious spin and boy this car was worth the wait!!! Got challenged by two young men in a BMW M3. Tried to ignore them but at last I couldn't resist the temptation so I gently pressed the pedal in 4th gear. It was like a brute force from nature had hit me. I was pressed back in the seat and passed 160 km/h and even 200 km/h before I understood what happened!! Never saw the bimmer again.

Collected my C6 Z06 at Hedins Bil (US Center) in Gothenburg. After a brief demonstration of all its features I drove the Z06 to its garage. The drive back to the garage was a nervous one due to the fact that the streets in Gothenburg still are covered by snow and ice.

On the way to the garage I decided to pay a visit to my colleagues at the office. They were amazed by the car and so was a couple of high school kids who passed the parked Z06! Now we need spring to arrive so the Z06 can get a chance to prove it self!
